Monty Metzger on the TOKEN2049 Singapore stage: value moves to the sides of the value chain, the middle layer becomes a digital market.

Singapore, October 8, 2026. Today our Founder and Chairman, Monty C. M. Metzger, took the stage as a speaker at TOKEN2049 Singapore with a keynote titled "Tokenization: Capital for Humanity." His message was simple: crypto has changed money, but much of its original vision remains unfinished. Almost two decades after Bitcoin, most of the real economy is still not on-chain. Ownership remains fragmented, capital still moves through layers of intermediaries, and many physical markets continue to rely on infrastructure built for another era. We believe tokenization can change that.

Crypto Changed Money. Now It Has to Change Ownership.

Monty opened with a simple question:

Why are we all here?

The original dream of crypto was bigger than creating a new asset class. It was about changing money, ownership and the way capital moves.

Crypto promised money without permission, ownership without unnecessary intermediaries, markets without borders and new ways to establish trust.

Enormous progress has been made. Bitcoin created digital scarcity. Stablecoins created global digital money rails. Blockchain markets proved that financial infrastructure can work differently.

But the vision is still unfinished.

As Monty said on stage:

"The vision is still unfinished. That's why we are here today."

From $3 Trillion in Crypto to the Real-World Asset Opportunity

Today's crypto market is measured in trillions of dollars. The next opportunity could be much larger as blockchain expands into real-world assets, or RWA.

Bonds. Funds. Private credit. Real estate. Infrastructure. Energy. Commodities.

The shift is from creating digital-native assets to creating digital ownership of real assets.

One of the central ideas in Monty's keynote was that tokenization turns ownership itself into information. Ownership can become digital, divisible, programmable, transferable and verifiable.

The underlying asset does not need to move every time ownership changes.

That opens an entirely new chapter for global markets.

Money. Markets. Matter.

Monty describes this evolution through the Three Waves of Tokenization: Money, Markets and Matter.

The first wave was Money, led by Bitcoin and stablecoins.

The second wave is Markets, with stocks, bonds, funds and other financial assets increasingly moving toward blockchain-based issuance, trading and settlement.

The third wave is Matter: commodities, energy, natural resources and the physical economy.

That third wave is where we believe some of the biggest opportunities are still ahead.

The first two waves moved trillions.

The third wave can move the world.

Why Toto Finance Is Starting With Copper

At Toto Finance, our starting point is copper.

Copper sits at the center of electrification, power grids, renewable energy, transportation, defense and the rapid expansion of AI data centers.

AI may look digital, but its infrastructure is intensely physical. Data centers need electricity. Electricity requires grids, transformers, switchgear, cabling and cooling. All of this requires enormous quantities of physical materials.

At the same time, global commodity markets still rely heavily on bills of lading, letters of credit, warehouse records, inspections and multiple layers of intermediaries.

We see an opportunity to connect that physical economy with modern digital infrastructure.

From Mine to Market

This is the idea behind Toto Finance's Mine-to-Market model.

We are not simply trying to put a commodity symbol on a blockchain. We want to connect the commodity lifecycle with digital ownership and global capital.

Resources are identified. Reserves are verified. Capital finances production. Commodities are produced, stored and delivered. Ownership can then be financed, transferred, settled or redeemed through digital infrastructure.

For us, the distinction is important.

The token alone is not the product. The infrastructure connecting digital ownership to the real asset is what creates value.

The Amazon Moment for Commodities

Monty also introduced what we call the Amazon Moment for commodities.

Amazon did not invent books or consumer products. It redesigned the path between seller and buyer.

We believe commodity markets are approaching a similar moment.

On one side are miners and producers. On the other are industrial buyers, investors and global capital. Between them sit layers of financing, verification, documentation, trading and settlement.

Our ambition is to create a more direct digital infrastructure between the mine and the market.

We do not need to own every mine to build that network. We need to build trusted infrastructure that connects real supply with global demand.

The keynote also introduced the Four Freedoms of Capital: greater access, faster movement, new forms of capital and less dependence on unnecessary gatekeepers.

Tokenization: Capital for Humanity

The TOKEN2049 keynote also previewed many of the ideas in Monty's new book, Tokenization: Capital for Humanity: How Digital Ownership Unlocks the Wealth of the World, launching on October 10, 2026.

The book explores the Three Waves of Tokenization, the Ownership Age, the Four Freedoms of Capital and the Mine-to-Market model.

At its core is one question:

What happens when ownership becomes as digital and programmable as information?

What Comes Next for Toto Finance

TOKEN2049 Singapore comes during an exciting period for our team.

Over the past several weeks, we have taken our tokenized commodity thesis from Jackson Hole and Mining Forum Americas to Wall Street and now Singapore, speaking with investors, miners, blockchain ecosystems, financial institutions, media and potential partners.

We are grateful for the growing interest, but we also know that attention is not execution.

There is much more to build. Tokenized commodities require real supply, trusted verification, strong legal structures, reliable custody, compliant infrastructure and markets that work when physical assets meet digital ownership.

That is our focus.

The original promise of crypto was not simply to create more digital assets. It was to change how value and ownership move.

We believe bringing the real world on-chain is the next chapter.

Money changed first. Markets are changing now. Matter comes next.

Mine to Market.
