TOKEN2049 Singapore brought more than 25,000 attendees from over 160 countries to Marina Bay Sands on October 7 and 8. For Toto Finance, the event was an opportunity to take our Mine to Market vision to a global audience, and to connect with the producers, institutional investors, industrial buyers and infrastructure partners who can help make tokenized commodities a functioning market.
Our conviction is straightforward: copper powers the modern economy, but the infrastructure for financing, owning and trading it has not kept pace. Tokenization can change that, provided the digital asset is tied to verifiable physical metal, clear ownership rights and a credible path to delivery.
Real conversations about real commodities

Toto Finance exhibited throughout the conference and met with investors, mining companies, commodity specialists and technology partners. Our exhibition space was part of the wider Cardano ecosystem presence.
The discussions quickly moved beyond the question of whether copper can be tokenized. They focused on what it takes to make the model work: independent verification, U.S. warehousing and custody, transparent ownership, digital settlement and physical redemption. We see growing interest in a direct connection between commodity producers, global capital and American industrial demand, without adding another layer of unnecessary intermediaries.
Singapore also built on the momentum of our recent engagements at Mining Forum Americas and the New York Stock Exchange, where the same thesis has resonated with audiences in mining and finance.
Selected for a Draper-backed investor pitch

One of the week's standout moments was Toto Finance's selection as one of nine startups to present at the Rooftop UTXO Pitch Night, presented by Draper Dragon and the Cardano Foundation, with Draper University involved in the event. The gathering brought together more than 90 investors and over 400 attendees, creating a focused setting for serious conversations about emerging blockchain businesses.
Toto Finance CEO Steven Gaertner represented the company at LAVO, above Marina Bay Sands. His pitch addressed a multi-trillion-dollar commodity industry still dependent on fragmented documents, slow coordination and layers of intermediaries. Toto Finance's proposition is to build the digital infrastructure connecting verified physical commodities with buyers and capital, from mine to market.
Being chosen to present among the finalists was an important milestone for the team and an opportunity to put our strategy directly in front of investors evaluating the next generation of real-world asset businesses. Read more about the finalist selection.
The next wave of tokenization takes the main stage
On the Bit Digital Stage at TOKEN2049, Toto Finance Founder and Chairman Monty C. M. Metzger delivered his keynote, Tokenization: Capital for Humanity, setting out a broader view of where the industry is heading.

The keynote framed tokenization in three waves: Money, as Bitcoin and stablecoins changed digital value transfer; Markets, as stocks, bonds and funds begin moving on-chain; and Matter, as commodities, critical minerals and other physical assets become part of digital ownership infrastructure. The first two waves changed finance. The third could reshape how the real economy connects to capital.
Monty also described the approaching "Amazon moment" for commodities. Amazon did not invent the goods sold on its marketplace; it transformed how sellers and buyers find each other and transact. Toto Finance is pursuing that kind of direct digital connection between mines and markets.
The wider TOKEN2049 audience was only part of the conversation. At our exhibition stage, Monty explored the implications of digital ownership in a separate presentation, while Steven presented Putting the US$25 Trillion Commodity Market On-Chain, showing how verification, ownership and settlement can work together across the commodity value chain.
The themes also appear in Monty's newly released book, Tokenization: Capital for Humanity: How Digital Ownership Unlocks the Wealth of the World, published on October 10, 2026. A recording of the TOKEN2049 keynote will be shared when it becomes available. See also our report on the keynote itself.
Why copper, and why the U.S. market
Copper sits at the center of power grids, electrification, defense and the expansion of AI data centers. S&P Global estimates that annual copper demand from data centers could rise from approximately 1.1 million metric tons in 2025 to 2.5 million by 2040. New supply is slow to develop: S&P Global Market Intelligence found that mines beginning production from 2020 to 2023 took an average of 17.9 years from discovery to first output.
Our immediate priority is physical copper for the U.S. market. Toto Finance is working to source refined copper for American industry and develop commodity tokens designed to be backed one-to-one by independently verified physical metal held in U.S. warehouses, LME-approved or COMEX-approved. Financing against reserves and future production, along with commodity-linked yield, remains part of the longer-term opportunity, but trusted physical backing comes first. See Copper Now (COPTT).
We cannot shorten the time it takes to build a mine. We can help modernize the way existing and future supply is verified, financed, owned and delivered.
A growing international audience
The copper story reached audiences beyond the conference through interviews and coverage by Korea IT Times, Grafa and Blockster. Several further interviews and media features have yet to be published. We will share them with the Toto Finance community as they become available, together with additional footage and the keynote video.
From Singapore to TOKEN2049 New York
Singapore also brought a major announcement for the industry: TOKEN2049 will make its New York debut on June 16 and 17, 2027. Toto Finance will be present as the conference arrives in the heart of global finance. We are looking forward to returning with further company developments and announcements as our U.S.-focused Mine to Market strategy advances.
In the meantime, the most important follow-up from Singapore is execution: deepening relationships with commodity suppliers, institutional investors and infrastructure partners, and progressing the verification, custody and market structure needed for physically backed commodity tokens.
Thank you to the Cardano Foundation, Draper Dragon, Draper University and everyone who joined our conversations in Singapore.
